Private 5G Networks

DAS and small cells in enterprise facilities are often powered by indoor remote power systems. Centrally located power systems distribute electricity over copper cables to the distant radios. These centralized systems have the advantage of a single location for maintenance and better backup.

Private 5G networks are being used for critical wireless communication requirements in public safety, infrastructure, and Industry 4.0 applications. The facilities may include office buildings, factories, campuses, and arenas. The venue owners provide their own networks for communication on premises, then connect to public networks when they leave the facility.

EnerSys® leverages our experience with powering Passive Optical LANs to energize indoor small cells, DAS networks, and other components of the Private 5G Network.

EnerSys® provides a full suite of systems and services for private 5G networks. Whether the site is equipped with a macro cell, remote radio units, indoor small cells, or IoT devices, we have the system that fits.

As enterprise facilities and venue operators turn to private 5G, remote power systems become more popular for powering DAS and small cells. Our centrally located power systems distribute electricity over copper cables to the distant radios. These centralized systems have the advantage of a single location for maintenance and battery backup.

Our Cordex® DC power systems, AMPS™ and Alpha® FXM HP AC power systems, and eLimiter+™ and LPS36 remote power systems are all controlled by a common intelligent controller, the Cordex® CXC HP controller. We simplify management of your power network.

Our full suite of batteries complements our power solutions. From Valve Regulated Lead Acid (VRLA) to Thin Plate Pure Lead (TPPL) to Lithium-ion (Li-ion), our battery portfolio can supply the energy and reserve time needed in the footprint you desire.

eLimiter+ 100VA Class 2 Distribution System

The eLimiter+ powers indoor 5G small cell radios in Private 5G Networks. The centrally located eLimiter+ converts nominal 48V power to a constant 57V output for delivery over copper cables to the remote radios. Because it meets the National Electrical Code® requirements for both Class 2 outputs and communications circuits, the system can distribute power without the need for conduit or licensed electricians. The integrated Cordex® CXCi HP controller enables remote monitoring and control, including remote shutdown or reset of the remote devices.
