EnVision™ Connect system monitor from EnerSys Recognized Among Best in Industry for Cable Broadband Innovation

The honoree comes from the 2024 Lightwave+Broadband Technology Report's Diamond Technology Reviews, a program developed to recognize the most innovative products available to the cable broadband industry.

EnerSys received the Honoree Score of 4 Diamonds—out of a possible 5.

EnVision™ Connect saves time and effort in monitoring and optimization of network batteries used for critical backup and automates inventory management. By embedding a small Bluetooth^® Low Energy (BLE) chip into the battery, real-time and historical voltage and temperature data, as well as inventory data such as battery model, date code, and serial number can be read wirelessly and securely via the EnVision™ Connect system monitoring app or once installed by the EnVision™ Elite controller. This enables customers to proactively manage and monitor their battery assets by capturing tangible insights from warehousing, through installation and operation, to end-of-life. Data is transmitted from an embedded chip to the free mobile device app via Bluetooth^® with minimal power consumption. 

The EnVision™ Connect system monitor was recognized for its innovative design and value. Key features that were highlighted for the judges’ review include:

• Eliminates the need for complicated and costly battery monitoring harnesses and equipment.
• Wirelessly provides and stores real-time and historical voltage and temperature data.
• Leverages Machine Learning (ML) concepts to provide future insights into battery optimization.
• Can replace an existing voltmeter to provide Open Circuit Voltage (OCV) of warehoused batteries.
• Walks technicians through provisioning and automatically generates site installation reports.
• Provides full inventory tracking of battery assets from warehouse to installation to decommissioning.
