EnerSys makes a paw-sitive impact in Berks County

On May 26, 2024, museum supporters and animal lovers came together at the Reading Public Museum's third annual “Dogs & Brews” fundraising event. EnerSys proudly sponsored the event, donating $1,000 this year, with all proceeds benefiting the foundation for the Reading Public Museum and the Animal Rescue League of Berks County.

Attendees of the event included EnerSys employees, museum guests, friends, supporters, and their furry companions. They gathered in the museum’s arboretum where they enjoyed beer and wine tastings, live music, and delicious bites from a variety of food trucks. On top of the fun and festivities, by supporting “Dogs & Brews,” attendees not only supported the museum, but also local animal shelters, local businesses, and local breweries.

Abigial Wissman, a proud dog mom, has attended the event for the past three years. “This is a great event for dog lovers and beers lovers to come together for an important cause," Abigail emphasized.

“The event itself was a testament to the power of community spirit,” Abigial said, “With corporate sponsors like EnerSys and local animal rescues in attendance, it was clear that everyone was rallying behind a common cause.”

The EnerSys donations to the foundation for the Reading Public Museum will help support the museum’s mission to educate, enlighten and engage current and future generations. The EnerSys contributions to Animal Rescue League help provide the rescue center with the necessary resources to protect and save local animals, including the astonishing 2,417 adoptions the League spearheaded in 2023.
