Our commitment is reflected in a strong ethic for charitable contributions, endorsement of community activities, encouraging employees to give freely of their own time to serve on boards or committees in many organizations and supporting educational programs in schools and colleges.

EnerSys is a proud supporter of the United Way, an organization committed to strengthening communities and improving lives through vital health and human services.

In 2019, then-CEO David Shaffer and his wife, Shelley, served as campaign co-chairs for the United Way of Berks County—championing local programs and driving community engagement. From reading initiatives and food drives to home renovations, EnerSys employees have continued to donate their time and energy to make a lasting impact where we live and work.

Patriot Power 5K powered by EnerSys®

EnerSys is hosting it's third annual Patriot Power 5K! This is a community 5K for all that will be held on May 17, 2025. 100% of proceeds from the race will go to the Team RWB & Brotherhood of Veterans Outdoors. We had a great turn out last year and hope to again this year.
